- Virginia Credit Union was originally chartered as State Employees’ Credit Union Inc. in 1928. It was organized by a group of state employees to "accumulate and invest the savings of members and to make loans to members for provident purposes."
- Through the decades, we have created financial products and services to help guide members in their financial lives and give them new knowledge and understanding of their finances. In everything we do, our work allows members to live with confidence.
- When you join Virginia Credit Union, you become a member and owner of the financial cooperative. Earnings are returned to you through a broad range of convenient services, attractive rates, lower fees, and free financial-education resources.
- Virginia Credit Union has received the 2023 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award (GEWA). This award recognizes the most engaged workplace cultures in the world. This is the first year Virginia Credit Union has been named a GEWA winner.
I work for Virginia Credit Union as a Mortgage Sales Assistant. We provide a variety of mortgage, commercial and equity loans, to name a few. We have a great selection of programs for first time homebuyers, including grants, Virginia Housing Assistance, refinancing, FHA, USDA and VA loans. My position as an assistant allows me the opportunity to assist potential borrowers with beginning and navigating the loan process.
