Journey Community Center, a 501c3, serves as an outreach from our local community to the global community, standing together to change lives- by giving a hand up- not a hand out. Built on the 13 year history of our Amelia Thrift Store distributing hundreds of thousands of dollars to community needs, we now have a restaurant open three days a week to provide a healthy, friendly environment for locals to enjoy a good meal and fellowship together. Our banquet room seats over 60 more folks and is available to rent for parties and other gatherings. Catering is available as well. Our next goal is the transformation of the old Buddy's Motel into Journey Village Motel to assist people in transitional housing from homelessness to a brighter future. We pay no salaries in all of the work that we do and reach out in multiple ways everyday to help others. Our newest addition is an outdoor emergency food pantry open 24/7, well lit at night. Known as the blessing box, people are urged to give what they can and take what they need.
